Yes, any course relevant to Mathematics or Statistics in UG is mandatory for NIMCET irrespective of Maths or Stats course in 12th standard. Courses like Discrete Mathematics, Discrete Structures, Business Mathematics, Probability, Statistics for Business Economics, etc will be considered for eligibility.

If I complete Diploma after 10th standard and directly joined in 2nd year UG degree, will I be eligible for NIMCET?

Yes, Diploma + 2 Years UG degree will be considered as eligible.

If I have CGPA between 6.0 to 6.49 and my university gives percentage conversion formula, can I be considered eligible?

CGPA to Percentage conversion is strictly NOT allowed. Whatever is printed on the Degree certificate or Marks Sheet will be considered final.

I have done my UG degree from Open University which is UGC/AICTE approved, will I be eligible for NIMCET?

Yes, any UG degree from UGC/AICTE approved institute will be considered as eligible.

If my university gives group wise CGPAs instead of overall CGPA, can NIMCET consider by groups CGPA individually?

Average CGPA of all groups will be considered for eligibility.

Can I apply even if my final semester results are pending?

Yes, you can apply, subject to the condition that you should satisfy the eligibility criteria after your final results. During counselling you need to submit the certificate as per the proforma given in Annexure-V

Do I need to upload OBC/EWS certificates issued after 1st April, 2025?

For applying exam, previous year certificate can be uploaded. However, during the counselling and certificate verification, it is mandatory to produce latest Caste Certificate

I have semester wise marks sheets and in online application form, it asks to upload year wise marks sheet. What should I do upload?

You can merge first two semester mark sheets and upload under first year. Same way, do it for remaining semesters. If you do not have last semester marks sheet, you can upload only fifth semester marks sheet under 3rd year.

I belong to General-EWS and I have EWS certificate issued by state government. Can I upload it for NIMCET?

It is preferred to have Central EWS format. However, for applying for exam, you can use state format.

I am unable to upload Photo ID as it says “Human face not recognized”. What should I do?

I have made the payment and the amount is deducted from the account. However, the status in the application shows as “Payment failed”. What should I do?

No, the application won’t be rejected as you can upload attested documents during the edit window mentioned in the brochure.

Yes, However, you need to clear all subjects when you appear for counselling.
